Here's a quick timeline of the Impostors' journey into music production.

1980s

Leo J gets a Sinclair ZX Spectrum and explores its music-making potential with the installation of the Ram Music Machine and SpecDrum — controlled by the Cheetah MK5 keyboard.

1990s

Along comes the Amiga 500 Plus and the Aegis Sound Master sampler, combined with OctaMED tracking software and a Yamaha DX7 synthesiser.

In 1995 DJ Tyrone buys an Akai S3000, a Spirit Folio mixing desk and a Sony DAT machine.

A year passes and a DigiTech effects unit, two Alesis compressors and an Akai second filter upgrade are added.

By 1998 it was time for an Amiga 1200 with a copy of Music-X, and a new Alesis QS6 synthesiser.
