The Impostors are DJ Tyrone and Leo J. They started producing breakbeat hardcore and jungle in the early 1990s with an Amiga 500, a copy of OctaMED and an Akai S3000 sampler.

In the mid-1990s, the Impostors promoted drum 'n' bass events in Essex, with DJs such as Grooverider, Randall, Hype, Rap, Andy C, Zinc, Jumping Jack Frost, Fabio, and more.

The Impostors turned to video production in 2003, experimenting with political mash-ups and comedy sketches.

In 2005, the Impostors wrote for the satirical BBC TV show Don't Watch That, Watch This.

2019: Tracks made in the 90s start being released via Bandcamp.

2022: Producing music with the Renoise tracker.

2023: Collaboration EP on Future Retro London with Tim Reaper.
